rain rain, you won't stop me from looking great!

I'm getting ready to head into the city today to meet up with an old friend!  I need a makeup look that's "city chic" but can stay put in this nasty weather ... UGH.  Looks like no matter what I put on my face today, my feel are going to need my Wellies!  Good thing I have the awesomest pair of Hunters that I got just for their good looks rainy days like these.

So today I'm throwing on some Smashbox tinted moisturizer in Luminous (I love this stuff ... really makes my skin glow) followed by some Smashbox High Definition Healthy FX liquid foundation.  I've finished it off with a little concealer and Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder, also by Smashbox.

For my eye's I've decided on a bronze sparkle look by mixing together two of my favorite Urban Decay colors, Smog and Chopper, and blending from the lash line to the crease.  I lined the inner rims of my eyes and upper and lower lashes with my Sephora Copper Electro eye pencil.

Threw on a coat or two of mascara (Covergirl Lashblast Volume), some blush (Nars Orgasm) and a coat of my fave Chanel gloss (Brilliant 73), and it's off I go for fun, friends and Mexican later at one of my most favorite NYC restaurants!

We are launching!

I can't even believe that this is happening, but after months (years really) of dreaming and planning I am launching my very own business, makeup by devon!  Yup that's right, folks, I am officially a freelance makeup artist (which is much better than my previous job title "unemployed bum").  I have a Twitter (would you be so kind as to follow me?  I promise I'll make it worth your while with fabulous updates, trends and such!), and I'll be going live with my company website in the next several days.

It seems crazy to have finally gotten here, but I AM  here (and so are you if you are reading this)!  Be sure to check back with me every now and then as I update you all on my exciting journey into the world of makeup artistry and blogging.

Thanks for your support, and don't forget to comment and share your thoughts with me.  I welcome your input!
