exciting news!

I have survived the blizzard of 2013 and have some excitng news to share!  I am so incredibly thrilled to announce that I will be working on a film in the coming weeks!  Woot Woot!  I'll share some more details as they unfold, but I couldn't hold this in for one more second!

Welcome 2013!

Happy New Year everyone! Oh boy.  More than a year for me on the the blog front.  I do have an excuse though.  I've added "Mom" to my list of duties.  So between feedings, diaper changes, bathing, cleaning, working, crawling, never sleeping (and fitting in time to shower and cuddle with The Hub) I haven't had much time to blog.  But I'm hoping that's about to change.  2012 was all about growing my family, and my goal is to make 2013 all about growing my business!

I do plan on going back and filling in some holes to show you what I've been working on.  I have some very cute boudoir, wedding and just plan old head shots to share!

So here's to a new succesful year on the business front!  I hope you'll be following.

beach day !

I know that most people use sunscreen on their bodies at the beach, but it's super imporant NOT to forget the need to protect your face too!  I'm packing my beach bag and getting ready to head out the door.  But before I go, here's a list of items that are my "Beach Must Haves" for my face:



1. moisturzer with SPF protection (today it's Bobbi Brown's Brightening SPF 50 Protective Face Base)
2. a floppy sun hat (one with style is preferred!)
3. sunglasses (my latest loves are my Michael Kors aviators)

And yes, my sunglasses are sitting on top of a book, because that my other must have for a beach day ... a good book!  Enjoy your Saturday, folks!

Long time, no blog!

Hey there folks ... remember me?  Well, I'm back!

I've taken a really long break from blogging & tweeting, but now I know it's time to pick things back up.  As you can see, the blog has been given a little bit of a face lift and I hope you like it.  And I hope you like our new logo.  It'll be on all my material moving forward (including my new business cards ... YAY!). 

I'll have some cool and exciting news and product reviews to share with you all soon, so I hope you start checking back regularly, or you might miss something cool! Stay tuned ...

We are launching!

I can't even believe that this is happening, but after months (years really) of dreaming and planning I am launching my very own business, makeup by devon!  Yup that's right, folks, I am officially a freelance makeup artist (which is much better than my previous job title "unemployed bum").  I have a Twitter (would you be so kind as to follow me?  I promise I'll make it worth your while with fabulous updates, trends and such!), and I'll be going live with my company website in the next several days.

It seems crazy to have finally gotten here, but I AM  here (and so are you if you are reading this)!  Be sure to check back with me every now and then as I update you all on my exciting journey into the world of makeup artistry and blogging.
